ENJOY YOURSELVES, IT’S LATER THAN YOU THINK.

IT’S THE BRITS TONIGHT!!!

so looking forward to it.
probably not for the reasons YOU may be thinking. oh no.
since TOTP was relegated to xmas day only i have missed the chance to have a regular rant at the state of the “mainstream” music in this country.
and having worked nights for the last 13 Brits, i have missed it. yeah, recorded a couple, but not the same shouting at the telly on your own.

which brings me to Vicky…. SHE isn’t as enthused with tonight’s prospect.

oh dear.

but let’s be reyt. the best music in Britain these days is largely ignored, because it is not being force fed into folks living rooms on weekend telly.
GET OUT THERE. SEE BANDS. ENJOY YOURSELVES.

  1. I did watch a fair chunk of it. Normally to question of “Who is this?” and … “They’ll never win.” “How the hell did they win?” “How can an old cover be up for best single?” etc.

Ed Sheeran was frankly the only live act worth hearing and Robbie Williams… well they should rename it the “Blooming great big ego award”…. sigh…. Meanwhile back on Soundcloud I’m listening to some real talent that only a dozen of us have the privilege to really listen to.

    • Robbie Williams i struggle with. YES, he is an entertainer with few to challenge him, but as you say, his smugness knows no bounds.then to be awarded an “icon” award and come out and sing brand new songs? nobody wanted that.
the biggest screw up of the night though was C*** ****in “duet ting” with George Michael. surely it should have been someone like Boy George. one of GM’s peers. ho hum…
