Way way back in the mists of time (or so it feels now) a few good people had a great idea. “why don’t we organise a charity gig to raise money for those less fortunate than us?”. Now they weren’t the first to do this by a long chalk, but they did it anyway. And more than that, they decided to do it here in Barnsley.
As soon as i got wind of it, i threw my hat in the ring, offering my services as dj. And so, We Shall Overcome was born, eventually going on to become something bigger than the original idea, with events up and down the country.
